Software Business Analyst, Tyne and Wear (Hybrid working)

Salary up to £55,000

My client is a dynamic software and solutions company who, following a recent re-structure are enjoying a huge period of growth. As a result, they have an opening for an experienced Software Business Analyst to join their thriving team. This is a brand new role, and as such it’s a huge opportunity for a software focused Business Analyst to really make their mark.

The successful candidate will act as the pivot between customers, developers and testers to ensure that all parties clearly understand what is to be delivered.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

• Work with stakeholders to analyse, define and communicate business requirements
• Build strong relationships with our customers
• Provide expertise in relation to business and industry processes to ensure our customers’ obligations are effectively met by the software solution, and within any industry-prescribed timetable.
• Promote a good and consistent style in software applications
• Provide advice on aspects of system design where there may be change
• Work closely with the developers to bridge any knowledge gaps
• Work with product owners to assess whether outside changes will affect the clients’ systems
• Collaborate with the project teams on various aspects of the project/specifications and design functions
• Produce clear, concise, unambiguous, realistic, consistent, detailed, and complete software specifications
• Analyse industry and customer driven change proposals to determine the impacts on a range of products and services
• Prepare and deliver presentations to various parties, both internally and externally
• Communicate well and build relationships at all levels throughout the company

Criteria:

• Strong experience gained working as a Business Analyst
• Ability to create and deliver clear and concise presentations
• Experience of working across multiple IT projects at the same time
• Experience of capturing and documenting customer requirements, creating detailed, clear, unambiguous, and complete software specifications
• Excellent analytical skills with an interest in data and systems
• Excellent listening skills with the ability to take real interest and understand the customers’ business requirements or issues
• Detail conscious
