Possessing strong and sustained investment in people, capital and plant, my client seeks a strong Supply Chain Management professional who can work effectively through leading the UK Production, Quality, and Warehousing teams to ensure the successful fulfillment and on-time delivery of customer orders.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for defining the weekly and monthly manufacturing schedules to support both near-term orders and inventory builds for strategic customers, planning for the capacity expansion and managing supply and demand planning to balance the overall capacity plan of the plant.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
-Championing supply chain best practise and improvement initiatives
-Export/Import process management
-Shipping document control
-Supervision of customer care function
-Supply & demand planning
-Monthly inventory control
-Supplier development and improvement
To be considered for the role, it is essential that you possess experience gained in a managerial level supply chain role in the manufacturing sector. Ideally you will possess experience in one of their preferred sectors i.e. electronics, process, pharmaceutical, coatings or chemicals.
Key selection criteria includes:
-Ideally educated to Degree level
-Analytical and improvement mindset
-Excellent communication skills
-Experience gained in a supplier-facing position
-Champions supplier development and improvement
-Demonstrable knowledge of international shipping requirements and understanding of Incoterms
-Knowledge and experience of using MRP and ERP systems
-Prepared to travel on an international basis
